Acheson’s

Proprietor Dianne Acheson began Acheson’s Gifts & Decorative Accents over 20 years ago, sharing a space with her husband in their pharmacy in Harriston, Ontario. This location still thrives today and is a cottage-drive stop for many, and a mainstay shopping haven for the region.

In 2002, Dianne found that with the encroachment of “big box” stores, her customers were left wanting more. An image overhaul brought the urban chic look forward that exemplifies Dianne and her clientele, and soon the store that originally took up just a corner of the pharmacy was bursting at the seems. The space grew from 300 to 1000 sq. ft.

In September 2003, Dianne expanded to include a store in Erin, Ontario, quickly gaining popularity region-wide for her natural ability to find unique, in-demand products for home and lifestyle. The Designer Lunch Series followed, bringing notable home fashion experts to accessible lunchtime venues for a thrilling afternoon of fashion, shopping and dining.

In 2006, Dianne opened the Orangeville location, following the closure of the Erin location. Boasting over 5000 sq ft, the Orangeville space is large and luxurious, with a range of home furniture arranged in inspiring vignettes. With the new space, Dianne has been able to introduce more fashion, one of her passions. It’s evident when you meet Dianne - and you will, she’s in store almost everday - that she has a strong fashion sense and an eye for what’s new and hot.
